SUMMARY:2025 Leadership Training Workshops for Building Maintenance Personnel w/ ABC
DESCRIPTION:Two new workshops are being offered on June 3rd that are designed to help building maintenance crew leaders plan and complete assigned projects\, and to maximize their team leadership skills.  The workshops are being taught by skilled construction project managers.  Participants can attend one\, or both\, of the workshops. \nFundamentals of Crew Leadership\, 8:00am-12pm \nParticipants attending this workshop will focus on four primary areas of leadership – Basic Leadership and Leadership Styles\, Communications\, Delegating\, and Problem Solving.  Delivered by an experienced construction project manager and based on the nationally recognized NCCER construction curricula\, this workshop will help new crew leaders become effective leaders\, and current crew leaders to refresh their leadership styles and skills. \nProject Management for Crew Leaders\, 1-5pm \nThere are many components to project management…Project Planning\, Scheduling\, Estimating\, Coordinating\, People; Equipment; Safety and more.  Participants in this workshop will be given the knowledge and techniques they will need to safely and efficiently manage both large and small projects.  Role playing and plenty of time for questions and answers will help participants understand real world leadership situations. \nThe deadline to register is May 27\, 2025. SUMMARY:2025 Key Awards Judging Day
DESCRIPTION:NOAA members can now sign up their apartment communities for our annual Key Awards! We encourage all our members to send in their properties for our biggest event of the year!. \nBig changes are coming to the Key Awards \nStarting this year\, the Key Awards will recognize three outstanding communities as our Properties of the Year! \nProperties of the Year will be awarded to the Key Award entries with the best percentage for all property types and rent ranges within each year category. The year categories are: \n\nClassic (communities first occupied before 1980)\nContemporary (communities first occupied between 1980-2000)\nTrendy (communities first occupied between 2001 to present day\n\nWhat are the Key Awards? \nThe Key Awards is an opportunity to recognize hard work and excellence within property management across Northern Ohio\, NOAA members are encouraged to submit their properties for judging. \nKey Award entries are grouped into property style\, price and year built. On the day of judging\, key award entrants are visited by two independent judges. Properties will be notified that judges are on their way approximately 15 minutes before arrival. Judges and drivers will leave the Holiday Inn in Independence after a buffet breakfast at 9 a.m. \nBased on the judges’ subjective impressions\, an entrant receives scores in signage/entrance\, leasing office\, model unit\, exterior building condition\, landscaping/grounds and entire community appeal. The judges’ scores are then tallied by a third-party firm. Properties are awarded based on the scores tallied. \nThere are five potential awards: property of the year\, top 10\, platinum\, gold and silver. Properties that score the highest are awarded Platinum. Properties that score above average in their categories are awarded Gold. The remaining properties that score well within each group are awarded Silver. \nStarting this year\, NOAA will begin recognizing three Properties of the Year. This award is earned by the properties with the highest percentage of overall property types and rent ranges in its year category. The top 10 scoring properties will also receive special recognition at the awards. Properties receiving a Key Award will be notified at the Key Award Gala on September 10. \nHow to sign up \nFill out the form below and return it to Jacqui Hoover (jacquib@noaamembers.com).
